Media & Artwork Specs
Media Types
A wide range of static and video displays are available throughout the airport. Below are a few samples of the types of media that are currently available, although we are always open to new ideas for additional spaces. Feel free to get in touch to discuss options or arrange a tour of the airport.
Large Format Tension Fabric Displays (TFD’s)
Made with the latest technology in fabric printing, these vibrant displays give your brand exclusive exposure in high traffic locations.
LCD Digital Screens
Strategically located, these LCD digital screens provide the perfect opportunity to tell your brand’s story in 10- or 30-second spots. Advertising loops are limited to 3 minutes to maximise exposure for your brand.
Backlit Displays
Backlit frames are also available in less bright locations to make your advertising really pop.
Luggage Carts
Single or double-sided advertising on luggage carts provides a perfect opportunity for high visibility, as arriving passengers hold onto them while waiting for their luggage to come through and walk the carts to their transportation on exiting the airport.
Exhibit Space
We can create one-off displays for events taking place on-island to welcome participants and spread awareness for other visitors arriving to the island.
Pop-Up Banners & Activation Spaces
Spaces are available around the airport for brand activations with pop-up banners or rigid displays.
Vinyl Wraps
Big, bold colours stand out extremely well on the white walls inside the terminal. And there are a number of locations that are extremely conducive to this type of display. Vinyl wraps lie flush with the wall and are easy to install and maintain.
Artwork Guidelines
Printed Material (TFD’s and Vinyl Wraps)
Software Supported
OUR PREFERRED FILE FORMAT IS PRINT READY PDF. Print ready references PDF Preferences are set to 100% output size, saved with 1⁄4” bleed, crop marks, and color settings to Process Color or C,M,Y,K. All other file formats will be subject to a file prep charge.
We support all Adobe CC Layout Programs. When Supplying Native Formats Please use the “File/Package” Utility to collect all fonts and linked images.
Colour Mode
All color image files must be submitted in CMYK. If working with RGB images please note that RGB color space is capable of producing many more colors than the CMYK (ink-based) color space. For this reason, there will be a color shift when images are converted to CMYK for print.
Bleed
Please add 1/4” bleed all around your layouts for fitting and finishing.
Die CUT and Score Lines
Please Identify Die Cut and Score Lines with individual SPOT Colors, not specified in Print File.
Example: Die Cut can be indicated with “BLUE” and Score Lines in “GREEN”, Confirm the two colors are not used anywhere else in document.
White Ink Allocations
If working in vector format, white ink should be in its own layer and its own WHITE_INK spot color designation. If working in raster format, white ink should be in its own Channel and file MUST be saved as .TIFF or .PSD Files saved as .JPEG or .EPS will not save with separate White ink channel.
Embedded/Linked Images
All images should be embedded or supplied at a minimum of 100 dpi at final size. If images are scaled down, resolution should be scaled up accordingly, i.e if the file is scaled to half size then the resolution should be doubled. in this case the minimum resolution should be 200 dpi. If working with scans, all scans are to have a minimum of 300 dpi resolution and must be saved as 8-bit CMYK images in .TIFF or .EPS format.
Solid Colours
Please specify all solid colors as Pantone PMS references.
Matching Pantone Colours
BBL Equipment is G7 calibrated in CMYK, we cannot match Pantone colors exactly. However, in practice we can get very close to the majority of Pantone colors, +/- 5%. In critical situations, i.e. matching a corporate color, we prefer to be supplied with a match proof to ensure the best possible result.
Cut Vinyl
Vector art is acceptable for cut Vinyl jobs. Raster art cannot be cut in Vinyl.
Supply Colour Proofs
If Color Match is critical Please Supply a G7, GRAcoL, or SWOP certified Color Proof for matching. If supplying a color sample of work produced outside of BBL there is no guarantee that color will match exactly. In most circumstances when critical color match is required a Pre-Production Proof is recommended.
Fonts
Please convert all text where possible as outlined vectors. In all other cases, use only Type 1 PostScript fonts and supply them in a linked folder. Include any embedded fonts within imported Illustrator files. DO NOT use TrueType (Type 3) or Multiple Master fonts, as they fail to RIP (process) and we will not be able to print your job.
DO NOT use font embellishment (artificially emboldening, italicizing, stroking etc.) in InDesign, Illustrator or Photoshop.
